Hi Everyone,
This is my layout for the UK Scrappers Simple Recipes Challenge for August. We were given a list of options to use but didn't manage to use them all. I chose to work with the colour scheme and I struggled with the sketch but did an interpretation of it!
The photo is my husband Lee on the beach at Wembury in Devon. We were staying at Langdon Court Hotel for our friend's Andy and Gen's wedding last month. As we were there for 2 nights we decided to take a walk down to the beach and as you can see from the journaling it was a little further than we were expecting!
Thanks for looking!

Three layouts and a card...
Morning Everyone...
A couple more layouts that I have done recently, these were inspired by some of the UK Scrappers challenges in July.
This layout followed the Simple Recipes challenge, I used the colour scheme and gold accents.
The photos are from our friends Andy and Gen's recent wedding down in Devon at a lovely hotel in Wembury...
The pic is our godson Freddie hitching a ride on Lee's shoulders when he was over for the Easter weekend...
I followed the July Week 4 challenge for this layout, we had to use the colour scheme, be inspired by Alice in Wonderland and use letters and numbers in the title.
I used some pics of our friend's kids having tea after being out for Christmas lunch last year...
And finally a card I made for my nephew Ralph's 1st Birthday. I had the little monkey stickers from an old card set so thought it was about time I put them to good use!
I had some bits left over so made a little sign to hang on his door...

UKScrappers 2014 Summer Scrapbooking Challenge...
Morning Everyone!
My lovely crafty friend Niki is hosting the Summer Scrapbooking Challenge over at UK Scrappers. She has posted 10 different challenges that you have until the end of September to complete. There are loads of fab ideas and if like me you have limited time they are great for kick-starting a layout idea quickly!
Challenge #1 - follow a sketch...
And this is my layout...
Challenge #2 - Happy Days of Summer...
We had to use a summery colour scheme or summer related photos, so I used bright colours to scrap this summer photo of me and Lee cooling our feet at Wembury beach...
Thanks for looking!

UK Scrappers August Challenges...
Hi Everyone!
I have managed to do 2 of the UKS challenges so far this month. The first is the Week 2 challenge, and we were tasked with using a one word title, something yellow and to include flowers or insects. This is what I came up with...
The next layout was for the August House Challenge, we had to use a large photo (5" x 7" or bigger), 4 x patterned papers, tags or journal cards, a pinch of green and some buttons or beads.
Thanks for looking!

UK Scrappers June Simple Recipes Challenge...
Hi Everyone!
Better late than never for posting this June UKS challenge that I completed! Loved this one, it was fun using paint and the rubber on the end of a pencil to make the 'confetti stamping' sun.
We were given this colour combo to use...
And the following guidelines:
1) Pick out something old and something new from your stash to use.
2) Borrow something to add to your layout (maybe a tool or a quote, something not generally used for paper crafting).
3) Use one blue embellishment or piece of blue paper.
There was also a sketch to follow which I did...
I sorted out some coloured scraps from my stash and layered them up (they were the old items from my stash) and added a blue quote sticker...
I used a couple of Project Life cards behind the photos (they were the new items from my stash)...
I borrowed the embossing folder for my banner strip...
Thanks for looking!

UKS June House Challenge...
Hi Everyone!
Isn't this weather amazing, it is so nice to have sunny days, warm evenings, wear sandals, skirts without stockings, eat salads and drink icy cold coolers from Costa!
The June monthly challenge over at UKS was to use the following pretty summery colours and I had some lovely photos from a recent visit to one of the open houses for the National Gardens Scheme.

The garden was in Old Welwyn and was stunning, so much hard work had been put into it and it really showed. There were so many varieties of tulips which are my favourite flower. Lots of lovely details throughout the garden, everywhere you turned there was something new to look at. We got talking to the owner and he told us it was all down to his wife! I got some fab photos as I was trying out my new DSLR for the first time...
Some close ups of the embellishments...

UK Scrappers June Week 2 challenge...
Evening Everyone!
I used the UKS Week 2 challenge for this layout.... we were challenged to use: primary colours, follow a sketch and use the following rhyme for inspiration:
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
All things wise and wonderful
The Lord God made them all!
I think I captured them all though the rhyme link is a little loose, I just used photos of Lee and Eliza!
Thanks for looking!
