Sept Week 3 layout for Being Scrappy...

Morning Everyone!

I am using the Summer Stories range of papers by Teresa Collins for this week's layout for Being Scrappy. If you like a bit of bling these papers are for you... lots of glitter! Though I ended up not actually using any of the glittery options on my layout!

I used the striped side of the Dots' paper as the base for my layout. Then cut a 3" x 12" strip of the blue patterned 'Filigree' paper and attach to the bottom of the layout. Cut a 1" strip of the brown patterned side of the 'Filigree' paper and attach over the join of the papers.

Take the patterned strip from the sticker sheet that comes with the Kit and stick down over the 'Filigree' strip.

I used five 6" x 4" photos that I cropped down and mounted onto the cream Bazzill as follows:
1) 5.5" x 3.75" mounted onto 5.75" x 4"
2) 3" x 3" mounted onto 3.25" x 3.25"
3) 3.25" x 3.5" mounted onto 3.5" x 3.75"
4) 3.5" x 5" mounted onto 3.75" x 5.25"
5) 2.75" x 4" mounted onto 3" x 4.25"

Attach these all onto the layout in the order shown.

Cut some strips of one of the papers and use for your journaling, stick down in the bottom right of the layout.

Then embellish using some of the stickers from the Glitz sticker sheet, I used some of the hearts and arrows.

Finish off with a title for your layout using the Thickers alpha that comes with the Sept Kit.

Sept Week 2 layout for Being Scrappy...

Morning Everyone!

For this week's layouts from the Being Scrappy Sept Kit I used the My Mind's Eye 'Kate & Co' and 'Nostalgia' papers. I had some great photos of our visit to the Donkey Sanctuary on the Isle of Wight to scrap and think they worked well with the bright papers!

Use the My Mind's Eye 'Nostalgia' paper as the base for your layout.

Cut the following pieces and ink all of the edges with brown ink:
1) Banners - 2.5" x 6", 2.5" x 4.5" and 2.5" x 3.5". Cut a banner shape in one end.
2) 3" x 10" strip of the spotty 'Kate & Co' paper.
3) 1.5" x 9" strip of the floral 'Kate & Co' paper.
4) Cut 3 of the small journaling cards from the 'Kate & Co' paper.

Place all of the cut pieces onto the base until you are happy with the layout and then stick down.

Crop down four 6" x 4" photos to 3" x 3" and mount onto a 6.25" x 6.25" piece of pink Bazzill. Ink the edges and stick to the left side of the layout.

I cut out some little triangles to make a mini banner with the twine and enamel dots that come with the Kit, this was then stuck down below the photos.

Cluster a few embellishments in the top right corner of the layout - 0.5" x 3" piece of the spotty paper, 0.75" x 2.25" piece of the pink chevron paper and a 1.25" x 1.5" piece of the floral paper cut into a banner shape. Ink all of the edges and stick down, add some of the enamel dots and a star piece from the Thickers Alpha that comes with the Sept Kit.

Cut some strips from one of the journaling cards and use these to journal on, stick down to the right of the photos.

Add a title using the Thickers Alpha, I also used a mini Alpha from my own stash. Finish off with a few more of the enamel dots and a star.

Pop on over to Niki's blog to see the two layouts that she has designed for this week!

If you like this Kit then it can be purchased from Being Scrappy here.

July Week 4 layout for Being Scrappy...

Hi Everyone!

In this week's Being Scrappy Kit we had the fun sorbet coloured 'Cool Summer' range by Carta Bella to play with. As there was an ice-cream theme with the papers I knew I could get set up some suitably appropriate pics while we were in the Isle of Wight at the end of June!

I used the spotty 'Summer Words' paper as the base for my layout, though afterwards I did think using one of the plain coloured Bazzill cardstock would have been better...

I will walk through each row starting from the top...

Row 1
Cut the following: 4.25" x 3.5" and a 2.5" x 3.5" pink Bazzill, 4.5" x 3.5" green Bazzill, 2.25" x 3.25" 'Cool Off' paper, 4.25" x 3.25" photo.

Row 2
Cut the following: 3.25" x 4" green Bazzill, 4.75" x 4" pink Bazzill, 4.5" x 3.75" photo, 3" x 3.75" 'Cool Off' paper,one 3" x 4" picture/journaling card from the 'Summer Season Cards' paper.

Row 2
Cut the following: 4" x 4" green Bazzill, 4" x 4" pink Bazzill, two 3.75" x 3.75" photos, 2.25" x 4"and 0.5" x 4" picture/journaling cards from the 'Summer Season Cards' paper.

Mount the photos and papers and stick down as shown in the main pic.

Select some of the chipboard embellishments and stick down.

I added a title using an American Thickers Alpha from my own stash.
