May Week 2 layout for Being Scrappy...

Morning Everyone!

In this week's Being Scrappy Kit I had some of the pretty Prima papers from the Songbird collection to play with as well as the matching Alpha. I ended up doing a really simple layout using some photos from a visit to Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk last year.

I used the 'Collage' paper as my background. Cut two 1" x 12"strips of the French Kiss Stripe paper, and a 6.25" x 12" piece of the orange Bazzill. Attach the two narrow strips to the long edges of the Bazzill and then attach to the left side of the layout.

Then stick down three 6" x 4" photos, I trimmed a small piece off each photo from the long edge.

Add some journalling on strips of the orange Bazzill and attach to the bottom right of the layout.

I finished off with a title using the Prima Alpha that came with the Kit and a Thickers Alpha from my own stash. Finished!

Dec Week 2 layout for Being Scrappy...

I loved this week's Kit from Being Scrappy, it contained the fab papers from the This and That range by Echo Park which were perfect for this photo of Lee's Dad meeting the artist Alwyn Crawshaw when we were in Mundesley.

I used the caramel Bazzill as the base for my layout, then cut a 9" x 11" piece of the green 'Numbers' paper and stick this down towards the bottom of the layout (ink the edges first with brown ink). Next cut 1.5" x 11.5" (fans) and 4" x 11" (wood) pieces of the 'Vintage Fans' paper, ink the edges and attach to the left side of the layout. Then cut a 5.5" x 4" piece of the crossword 'Journalling Cards' paper, ink the edges and attach to the bottom right.

 

Attach a 5" x 7" photo but only stick the two sides and the bottom as I included some hidden journalling that I tucked behind the photo.

Staple a piece of the ribbon down to the left of the photo. I also added a bit of washi tape from my stash.

Add some embellishments to the bottom right of the photo, the buttons were also from my stash.

I cut a couple of the cards from the 'Journalling Cards' paper (ink the edges) and attached a punched tab top to each of them. These were then tucked behind my photo.

Finish off with a title, I picked a variety of alphas from my stash for this!

GoGo Getaway Oct 2012 Part 2...

Hi Everyone!

I promised I would come back and share the rest of the layouts that I managed to complete outside of the GoGo Getaway classes. Firstly there were some fun Sketch Challenges for us to play along with and I managed to do 3 of them, we had to use the Sketch along with a specific manufacturers range.

The first one was using 'The Sweetest Thing - Honey' papers from My Mind's Eye, and I had a cute pic of Eliza, the daughter of friends of ours that went perfectly...

The second one was using 'The Sweetest Thing - Bluebell' papers from My Mind's Eye, and I used a pic of Lee and I relaxing by the beach in Mundesley...

The last Sketch Challenge I did was using the 'Woodland Park' papers by October Afternoon, and again I used some sweet pics of Eliza playing...

 

The final challenge I played along with was one where we had to scrap a page with 9 facts about me, but leaving a space for a photo... as there was also a challenge to guess who was who!

 

 

I did actually complete another 4 x layouts but they were for Being Scrappy Kits so they will appear weekly on my blog throughout Nov!

Pages of Memories Week 4 Layout

Hi Everyone,

Over at Pages of Memories this week I had some lovely papers from Glitz and Prima to use for this week's Kit. I pulled out some photos that go back to 2008 that I have been wanting to scrap and these papers worked perfectly! We were on a weekend away with friends staying in Mundesley and we had taken a lovely walk around the Broads.
