Merry Christmas!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas day, enjoy spending time with your family and friends!

Lee and I will be over at his Mum and Dad's along with his two brothers and their fiances, eating yummy food (lots of it!), playing games (usually Trivial Pursuit long into the night!) and just chilling out!

Some lovely handmade cards from my Craft Club friends Kath and Pat, and my crafting buddy Niki...

Merry Christmas and thanks for looking!

Christmas treats...

At Craft Club last Saturday Niki was showing the group how to make these... so I decided to make some at home to put on the table for Christmas Eve dinner with Lee's Mum, Dad, brother Sam and his fiance Cheryl. You can find the instructions here, just go to Resources and search for 'Box'. Then scroll down until you find Peek-a-boo Box (for some reason it doesn't bring it up when you search for it by the name).

Thank you to Pat at Craft Club for giving us a pack of lovely Hotel Chocolat chocolates to go in them...

Layout for 'Pages of Memories' Online Store

This is my second layout for December that was made with one of the fab weekly 'Pages of Memories' kits. I had the perfect photos from Christmas time last year to go with the lovely, glittery 'Lost & Found' Christmas papers. To help me along I used a sketch from the 'Page Maps 2' book...

and this is what I came up with...

Some close up shots of the embellishments... the only items I added were the small red letter stickers from my stash...

And I also managed to get a couple of cards made from the kit...

Pop on over to the 'Pages of Memories' blog to see other lovely layouts and more info on the weekly kits!

Layout for 'Pages of Memories' Online Store

I was very excited to be asked to be on the Design Team for the 'Pages of Memories' new Online Store and will be making 2 x layouts per month using their fab weekly kits. My first layout for December was made using the really lovely 'Pixie Glen' papers from Prima. I added a few extra bits from my own stash - the trims and Prima flowers, and this is what I came up with:

A few arty shots of the embellishments...

Now there were plenty of bits leftover so I decided to make a card as well...

Have a look at the 'Pages of Memories' blog for more lovely layouts using their fab Kits!

GoGo Getaway - my final projects...

As promised here are the final projects from my weekend away at the GoGo Getaway, another layout and a Mini Album...

This is a before and after of Lee at the Great North Run in Newcastle..

And finally a Mini Album which I love doing! This class showed us how to use a regular stationery item in scrapbooking... plain manilla envelopes! Really simple to do, punch holes in the closed ends of the envelopes and then put eyelets in each of them. Pick a coordinating range of papers that suit your theme (ours was travel) and cut to size and mount onto each side of the envelope. Stick down your photos. Take something that you can use on the front cover and each page that relates to the theme (ours was a cute stamp of a black cab), and attach this to each page. Journal on some strips of coordinating paper and stick to each page, overlapping the photos. Finally decorate the front and back covers... You can of course add in additional photos or other memorabilia by including them in the envelopes, just mount onto card and include a tab at one end...

And that's all from the October GoGo Getaway, already looking forward to the next one in March!

GoGo Getaway weekend...

Finally I get round to posting some pics of the fab projects that I did while on the GoGo Getaway weekend recently! It was yet again another lovely weekend of catching up with old friends and also meeting new ones. Over a 2 night/3 day weekend we take 7 x classes but there is also plenty of spare time to get stuck into your own projects... though between chatting and shopping I never seem to get too much extra done... this time I did manage one layout of Lee's very cute godson Oscar!

And here are the projects from the classes I attended...

Firstly a cute layout featuring our lovely godson Freddie...

Then it was another layout with some lovely pics of Oscar... we had fun with mists and masking to create the background on this layout...

Lee and I playing dress up at Jonathan and Bradley's wedding day. As I work with Jonathan I knew it wasn't going to be any sort of regular day and it wasn't, in total we changed clothes four times! These pics were of the 80's Disco and Hoedown Throwdown sections of the day!

This layout features Lee's mum and dad, Sue and Garry when we were in Newcastle to support Lee in the Great North Run, this pic was taken after the run at South Shields when we went for a walk along the beach...

And the final layout to show you is one of Lee and I after we were married last year in Las Vegas, we had a photo shoot in the grounds of the MGM Grand where we had the ceremony...

Now there are 2 more to show you but I just need to finish them off so will post them as soon as they are done!
