Morning Everyone!
In this week's Being Scrappy Kit I had what I thought were rather retro patterned papers from the 'Indie Chic' range by My Mind's Eye to play with... so were perfect for some pics of me when I was 18 years old!
I used the 'Free Spirit' paper as the base for my layout, then cut a 7.5" x 9.75" of the burgundy Bazzill and stick down to the right side.
Cut a 3.75" x 9" piece of the 'Dreams' paper and attach to the right side of the Bazzill.
Mount three photos each cropped to 3" x 4.5" and mount onto a piece of the 'Create' paper and attach to the layout.
I then added my embellishments... some strips of border punched kraft Bazzill, black ricrac and fancy floral ribbon (both came with the Kit).
Finally add a title, I used a Thickers alpha from my own stash.
Pop on over to see the fab layouts that Niki has come up with from this week's Kit. You can buy the Kit for a limited time here.
Thanks for looking!

April Week 3 layout for Being Scrappy...
Morning Everyone!
I had some fab papers from Amy Tangerine's Ready Set Go collection to play with in this week's Being Scrappy Kit and decided to scrap some older photos of my friend's two oldest girls, Lexie and Becky with their dog Bonkers (I just love his name!). They really are quite old photos as the girls are now teenagers but better late than never...
I used the spotty 'Good Morning' paper as the base for my layout.
Take the 'Dress Code' paper and firstly cut out the flower motif (including the yellow and blue stripes) and put to one side. Then cut a 4" x 10.5" strip of the blue stripe 'Dress Code' paper and stick down to the right side of the layout.
Next cut a 3.5" x 6.5" piece of the red patterned 'Dress Code' paper and layer up onto the layout with the two manufacturer's strips.
Mount two 4" x 4" photos onto a piece of the blue Bazzill and stick to the layout.
Attach the flower motif with foam pads to the bottom right corner of the photos.
I then finished off with a title using a Mini Alpha and Thickers from my own stash.
Now you did get some cute little decorated pegs to match and I totally forgot to use them! But if you pop on over to Niki's blog you will see how she used them on her layouts! This Kit is available for a limited time here and do check out the great value Kit subscription offer!

April Week 2 layout for Being Scrappy...
Morning Everyone!
This week's Being Scrappy Kit had some lovely papers from My Mind's Eye and I had the perfect photos to go with them... some pics of the Sydney Harbour Bridge that I took when on holidays in Sydney last year!
I used the 'Garden Gate' paper as the base for my layout. Cut two narrow 12" strips of the 'Dreams' paper and punch a decorative border along each one. Then cut a 6" x 12" strip from the 'Collage' paper and stick the two border punched strips just under the top and bottom edges before sticking down towards the bottom half of the layout.
Attach a 7" x 5" photo to the left side and then mount a 5" x 5" photo onto the cream Bazzill and stick down just overlapping the top of the first photo.
Write your journalling onto strips of the cream Bazzill and stick to the right of the larger photo.
Add some of the My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots to either side of the photo to decorate.
I added a title using two from my own stash, and finished off with the cute little coat hanger paperclip as this is the nickname for the bridge!
This Kit is available for a limited time here, do pop on over to Niki's blog to see what fabby layouts she has come up with this week!

April Week 1 layout for Being Scrappy...
Hi Everyone!
Nice bright papers and a pack of my favourite Thickers Alphas in this week's Being Scrappy Kit! I used a photo taken 2 years ago on a holiday to Lanzarote, plenty of space to add the title onto the photo which I think looks pretty effective.
I used the blue Bazzill as the base for my layout. Then I layered up a mixture of the brightly patterned papers - 6.25" x 8.75" of the orange grid Amy Tangerine paper, then a 2" x 10.5" strip of the green vine Pebbles paper, next a 7" x 7.5" piece of the floral Echo Park paper and finally a 3" x 7.75" piece of the red swirl Echo Park paper.
Mount a 7" x 5" photo onto the orange Bazzill and attach.
Cut a few pieces from the manufacturers strips and stick down to the left of the photo.
Add some layered flowers punched from a mix of the papers to the bottom right and top left of the photo.
Finish off with a title using the Thickers Alpha that comes with the Kit, I did add some mini alphas from my own stash!
