More layouts from Pages of Memories...

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are all enjoying the amazing weather at the moment, let's hope it is as good for the Jubilee weekend coming up!

Anyway here are my last 3 x layouts that I did for Pages of Memories...

This one is using the May Week 2 Kit 'Sweet Pea' and I had a lovely photo of a family get together in 2010 with Lee and I, both of our parents and his nan. We took his nan to Sopwell House in St. Albans for dinner as she couldn't make it out to Las Vegas for our wedding. Unfortunately she passed away last year so this holds some very special memories for us.

The next layout was using the May Week 3 Kit 'Rosy Love' and I had a beautiful photo of my sister on her wedding day that I knew I wanted to use. I loved her bright bouquet of gerberas and the colours matched perfectly with the papers...

My final layout was using the May Week 4 Kit 'Con Brio' and I had a cute photo of our friend's daughter Lucy to use...

You can buy all of these Page Kits from the Pages of Memories Online Store for a limited time!

Back from a land downunder!

Hi Everyone!

Lee and I have just had an amazing 3 week holiday in Oz visiting my family and friends. My family emigrated there when I was 10 years old, but I came back to the UK 15 years ago. It has actually been 6 years since we were last there so it was so good to catch up with everyone! Thought I would share some of our holiday snaps with you... (be warned this is a photo heavy post!).

My Mum and Dad live in Gulgong which is a small country town in central NSW about 4.5hrs from Sydney.

We visited Hill End, an old mining town...

Wandered through Mudgee and Gulgong...

We flew up to Brisbane to visit our friends Donna and Aldo.

Day trip to the Sunshine Coast visiting Noosa...

Took the ferry to Moreton Island and spent the day on the beach, swimming and snorkelling...

Had a few days down on the south coast at Mollymook with my sister Tina and her husband Craig and my Mum and Dad...

Lunch at Bondi Beach...

A walk around The Gap and Watsons Bay...

A day in Sydney at The Rocks and lunch at Manly...

Spent the night with my friends Sharon and Trevor down in the Southern Highlands...

Lee went on the Illawarra Fly viewing walk, I am a scaredy cat with heights so skipped this!

Lunch at their local pub...

It was an amazing holiday and we are already thinking about when we next go, it certainly won't be 6 years between visits next time! Plenty of scrapping opportunities so keep an eye out for some layouts coming up...

Simply Stampin' Challenge #60 - Theme

Hi Everyone!

Thanks so much for sending in your entries to last week's Simply Stampin' Colour Challenge, we had some fab designs which always makes it hard to choose a top 3!

This week's challenge was to create something to the theme....

Monochrome (with a splash of colour!)

When I thought monochrome I decided I wanted to go with gray and use the spotlighting technique to add a splash of colour to the stamped image so this is what I came up with...

Did you notice that my design was based on the Sketch from Week #55!

Products used (all by Stampin' Up! unless specified):
Cardstock: Regal Rose, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Ink: Regal Rose, Basic Gray
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Regal Rose Taffeta Ribbon
Stamp Sets: Creative Elements, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Why don't you give it a go and send in an entry to this week's Challenge, don't worry if you don't have a blog as we do accept email entries!

More Pages of Memories layouts...

Hi Everyone!

Here are the last three weeks of layouts for Pages of Memories, the online store that I design for...

The first one was the April Week 3 Kit 'Decorate' and had the lovely My Minds Eye 'Miss Caroline' papers to work with, I had a cute picture of my friends daughter Phoebe on a rocking horse that I think went really well with the rustic, country style papers.

My second layout used the April Week 4 Kit 'Train' and I had some sweet photos of little Joe, my friend Andrea's son that worked perfectly! See.... even the My Minds Eye 'Lost & Found 2' glitter papers can be used for a boy!

And my final layout was for the May Week 1 Kit 'Province' using Prima 'En Francais' papers. I had a lovely photo of Lee's mum and dad, Sue and Garry taken on a night out celebrating Garry's retirement.

All of these Kits are available for a limited time at the Pages of Memories Online Store. Pop on over to the Pages of Memories blog to see more layouts made with these Kits.
